Enjoy a beer at these famous Munich biergartens

One of the things that Germany is known for, in addition to its beautiful landscape and vibrant history, is its beer. In fact, ancient Germans began crafting brews as far back as 1000 B.C.

And as a result of a brewing process that generally uses just water, barley, hops and yeast, the beer is deliciously simple and rich tasting. One place to really get a taste of German's love of this drink is to visit a biergarten. According to Reuters, the best around the world are all in Munich, including:

1) Hirschgarten – Munich, Germany
This is the largest biergarten in Germany. Benches scattered around the outdoor space can seat more than 8,000 people. Chestnut trees that are two centuries old line the property, and deer wander around freely. The beautiful setting and, of course, wide selection of brews has launched it to the top of Reuter's list.

2) Taxisgarten – Munich, Germany
This biergarten has been open since 1924. On any given day, it serves up to 1,500 residents and tourists. Many people don't know that Taxisgarten used to be a medical clinic for WWI veterans. It's also so close to Bavaria's biggest maternity clinic, many new parents enjoyed a pint here.

3) Airbräu – Munich Airport, Germany
The next time you have some free time at the Munich airport, have a brew at Airbräu. It's located between terminals one and two. According to Reuters, it's the only biergarten in an airport that adheres to brewing standards from the 1500s.

During your time in Munich, whether you're getting from the airport or to another biergarten, use an executive transportation service like Hermes Worldwide. Their experienced chauffeurs will take you where you need to go so you don't have to worry about driving after a few brews.
